a little over 6 weeks now...

WOW. Time is just flying..baby G is getting so big and strong, growing out of clothes left and right just like his brother did...I can't get enough of his sweet face though! It was WARM bordering HOT today so baby G got some pictures done in the garage! LOVE that light and it works out since I use it during the day and hubby plays with his car in there at night!
We can share! ...just don't tell him, he doesn't know he is sharing yet ;)

and today we tried angling the set up in the garage for some "moody" lighting, now that it is getting warm out using the garage light is becoming addicting! I love my flash/softliter set up but something about this just makes me happy!

After our melt down at the lake we came home and played outside until dinner was ready! C is getting REALLY good on her bike and was flying up and down the sidewalk!

and Eli found lots of cool treasures like rocks, sticks, grass, clover flowers, bugs lol such a boy!

I snuck back into the room to snap this of baby G today, he just looked so peaceful..

fun techie info, I shot this at f1.8 ISO 6400 and ss of 1/60 !! I didn't dare turn on a light :P Not a perfect photo but a perfect peaceful moment, and in the end, thats what matters and what I want to remember. <3

sweet sweet sunshine...

trying to practice getting light into the eyes in full sun and shooting wide open on my 85mm...I think this turned out ok especially because C only gave me about 10 frames to work with :P

all under the same roof! I had to get some shots tonight, I love generational (is that even a word) shots..
I used my RMI grey card for white balance so the skin tones are dead on, looking at them you can see, the poor babies are semi yellow because they haven't been out much, Daddy S has a slight sun burn from welding and Grandpa B has been outside the last few days too as well, I love this grey card, makes pp SO much easier as long as I remember to set it before I start shooting!
and the chair they are sitting on is one of six..we FINALLY found antique chairs to match our table! six for only $175 VERY excited about that!

because I just finished knitting my first thing ever, a hat for baby Gavin! I bought the knifty knitter, you know, for all that spare time I have inbetween three kids, the house and the husband, school, and a tiny little photography business..lol..but seriously, you can do the knifty knitter while watching tv and I do NOT do well with idle time or hands so I think I'll enjoy it! Charleigh really wants to try, maybe she will find the little knitting machine we saw at Joann's Fabric Store in her basket this year, I think that would be a great craft for nap time/mommy daughter time!

one photo, two ways..I love playing with actions. I rarely use them on photos I am printing for the wall but I do love the look they give that certain photo.
