today was hot..

lets home some rain comes tomorrow..because this humid hot sticky junk needs to stop!! I was practicing with some settings on my camera and thought it was a great time to show the pots C and I painted..these have daisy seeds in them, we also are growing basil and cilantro! We picked our first bit of basil tonight to have with our tortellini and it was perfection! We also got an email about our farm day trip we wanted to take and July 3rd we will be heading out to a working farm to help plant seeds, feed the baby animals and just basically play and run around until we all pass out! Yay! I think I'm more excited than the kids, C loves talking about farms and animals so she should really enjoy that and I'm sure I will have a boatload of pictures!

lick of true summer! Thanks papa for the ice cream money..we listened all afternoon for the truck and when it came C picked out a Sponge Bob ice cream of course! Yum! She even shared with E, well, more like he attacked her and got his bite but she didn't seem to mind! :-P

but this is hot off the camera...I think I like it! it would have been better if I had taken it earlier in the day when the sun is higher in the front but I love my big window..it makes some neat lighting effects..who know I would ever say I love ANYTHING about this house! :-P

Things have been crazy! So straight out of the camera..can you guess what E had to dinner?
.i'm hoping some families around here will let me practice family shots with them..I'll keep you updated..i'm learning SO much from the books I ordered I can't wait to get outside and really practice..and since the weather is cooling off for a bit it looks like tonight might be a good time to try it!

Happy Birthday Army

Today is the Army's birthday, so they had a party and we were there :-) The inflatables were love at first sight for C..she wore me out just watching her! E had fun watching all the people and activities going on and of course his wild sister! We did arts and crafts, stamped a postcard for Daddy, got dyed MWR Tshirts for all three of us (we picked our colors, guess what C picked :P), ate cake, and of course wore ourselves out..C was asleep by about 8pm! And the best part, it was all FREE..yes..now thats a fun Sat. afternoon! I also included a few from the park the other day since I didn't yesterday when I was having a bad day :-) Today is better..we stink like vinegar but its all for a good cause :P

today was not a fun day..AT ALL..I think Eli's face from this morning on the playground sums it up...I have much more fun photos but honestly I don't feel like even opening another file..I want to go hide under my bed until everything is back to normal..so ya..thats where I'll be if you need me ..jk :-)

I think they were a little mad at me for not putting up the pool today, but mommy can only put up and take that pool down so many times in one week before she needs a break! Man I wish we had a fence!
