Happy New Year!

Here is to 2009! Hope everyone has a fun and safe night tonight! C got a whole box of new crayons for Christmas and we broke into them today, these were her favorite! And since glitter and New Years Eve goes together, here it is :-)

ok, I have been seriously slacking

and I have a few shots to edit of the kids but I had to share this one of little Ms.H. She lives across the way from us and I can't get enough of her blue eyes! E was one lucky man outside today with Ms.S and Ms.H, both with amazing blue eyes..someday he'll thank me for making him sit with them lol!

I hope everyone had a wonderful morning! We had Gumbo last night with the neighbors and my other neighbor is cooking Christmas dinner, complete with green bean casserole! I made homemade Cinnamon Rolls yesterday (from the Pioneer Woman website..OH MY GOSH so good, so sinfully good) and the kids had a blast this morning! yay!

I hope Santa can swim...

because he might need to if he wants to get to our house, C says she is going to give him a boat for Christmas, I think that is a good idea! Thank goodness it is not snow!

my baby girl with her baby woof

This is C's favorite dog, her whole bed is covered in stuffed animals but this one is "baby woof". She goes with us everywhere, we had a birthday party for her, and she sleeps on her own pillow beside C, I thought a mini session was in order since they were both dressed up today ;-)

I'm ready to move to Flordia..

wind chills tonight are supposed to be -10 YUCK! We spent the day roaming around the PX looking at Christmas stuff so no photo for today, I didn't feel like lugging my camera and the extremely bundled up kids around lol, but this is by far my favorite shot from the other day, I ran my favorite action over it too..He is deploying soon and I think this has a dreamy caught in the moment feel to it!

Super Sat.

I woke up this morning to find that I didn't have any more contacts :-( BUT the lovely eye doctor on post saved me and now I have some on order and a trial pair in my eyes..YAY because believe me when I say I can't see ANYTHING without my contacts! So, no pictures today since I spent 2 hours cleaning the rug and then an hour at the eye doctor ;-) I know the picture of C is really warm but it was really warm outside and seeing all that golden light makes me feel warm when tomorrow the low is 11 degress..BRRRR and then another of the H kids, oldest and youngest!

With just 30 minutes of daylight left in a SUPER day (it was almost 70 today! Ice storm Monday, spring today..I love KY) we headed out back to take some quick family shots of my neighbors! I can not be any more in love with this shot!

I didn't take any pictures today..

we went shopping and then my neighbor came home today on R&R ( YAY YAY YAY I've missed her SOOOO much) so I'm still editing from Sat. and had to share this one. I used the creamy toffee latte action from this site . Check out her site LOTS of goodies especially if you are using Elements like I am :-) and I LOVE candid shots!

ok I lied, I did take a picture today, very sad that I didn't change settings and only one kid is in focus but they were sitting together without fighting and pulling hair and looked so cute, oh well ..its a mommy moment!

not a snow day..but an ice day :-(

yuck, it was so dark and cold out today, so we made Christmas cards and cookies! YUM

i'm lazy today

I didn't take a picture again ;-) But we did make a yummy dinner of mini cheeseburgers! I bought a recipe book at the Pampered Chef party my friend had and they all look so yummy! This is the first one we've tried but it smells great! So I'm sharing a another picture from my session with the "B's" yesterday! Little C was VERY on the move so although I wish her legs had been different this was the one time she sat! Gotta love kids!

I took well over 100 pictures today of the "B" family! It was cold and the sun teased us for about 5 minutes but it was still a good time! I'll post more later but now I'm getting dinner on the table and then getting ready to go out for K's Birthday! YAY! (all the guys were volun-told they were babysitting! woo hoo! 6 kids under the age of 6, they should have fun too!)

Monster Pants..Rarrrrr

E made the sound as soon as we opened the package, now we officially have two pair of wool pants for diaper covers yay! I have wanted a pair of these Cranky Pants for a LONG time and my name finally came up and they fit like a glove! I snapped these really quick, he wouldn't once look at the camera...to happy to be outside and running around but oh well, the butt is the best part ;-)

the clouds finally broke

its been just kinda icky and wet and cold cold cold here so I haven't picked up my camera (bad I know) but when we were eating dinner I noticed a warm color coming in through the window! The sun was back! yay! I was extremely lazy though and hand-held these shots so not as sharp as they could be but oh well! atleast I picked up my camera right!

just a few months late

Jenn of Designs by Jenn link shared a template on her website (check it out awesome stuff, but I'm sure everyone from OPS already knows that!) and I finally got around to doing something with E's first birthday pictures! I like it, Now if I ever get around to printing it we'll be golden ;-)

and a little winter chill is in the air

i'm cheating again and posting two pictures! My neighbor's hose busted and was spraying water and it made these ice sculptures in the grass. We got it fixed and the water is off now but I couldn't resist taking a picture of the ice!

I'm early today

because today is Super Saturday! C's favorite Saturday because she gets to go to "school" from 9-5 and one of my favorite days because I get to try to clean the house with only one kid! She woke up this morning and immediately grabbed her backpack and was ready to go. I did manage to snap this of her though, you can see the face she is giving me means "come on mom, put away the camera and drive me to school!"

so I just took this one ;-) Its the gift for my best friend, all finished and framed!! YAY! I can't wait for her to get it! I'm going to take it to UPS tomorrow and let them pack it up because I don't trust myself with glass lol! and so its not just a picture of a picture today I'm putting in one of C from our vacation that I finally uploaded! Oh and the picture is 16x20 on true black and white paper (LOVE), had it framed at hobby lobby with one of their ready made frames..I'm in love with it, if it wasn't promised to CW already I would hang it in my house haha, that is Eli's future wife after all!

yesterday...

we went out with some friends to Chuckie Cheese..and shock, gasp..I DID NOT TAKE MY CAMEREA! I must be getting sick or something ;-) but this morning I gave up trying to find a Christmas card I liked online and made this little storyboard (Thanks Sandra for the idea lol) for our card! Now I just have to get it printed and I'm in business! Well, minus the whole sitting down and addressing them all, maybe they will get out in time!

is so close its scary! I played around with the kids for Christmas pictures, maybe by Christmas I can get ONE with both of them in the same picture!

one of my favorite sites to read is The Pioneer Woman, her recipes are amazing and so easy to follow and I LOVE the photography section as well! And now MCP Action's owner is guest blogging! woo hoo! I love it even more! So I finally took the time to learn how to do a frame, yay go me! goofing off..

sitting on the couch and playing around with the Christmas tree lights :-) We set it up today and made a batch of fudge, I had to think of something to keep me out of the fridge and nibbling at it!

i have my computer back!

YAY! hopefully I will have a post tomorrow and be back on track..after unpacking the bottomless pit my car became on the way home and getting all the laundry done..I think it multiplied while it was in the car yuck! and now i'm waiting on dinner and then i'm going to catch up on the almost two weeks of blog posts I missed!!!

I have been missing...

my computer! We are visiting family for Thanksgiving and I dont have my computer :-( and it took me quite a few trys to get any pictures to load at all on mom's computer..poor thing is old and trying to download the free trial of CS4 and lightroom almost killed it! But we're having a blast and since I finally got some photos to load on the computer here are some super quick shots of my bestfriend's baby girl <3

Winter Coats

were needed today for sure! It is cold and windy and we had an appointment so I let the kids play outside for a brief second so they could get a little bit of fresh air! Poor E can't walk well in his coat, it throws him off balance!

redo

ok, the color cast is driving me batty..I miss editing in raw...this will kick my butt in gear and make me hurry up and get Lightroom, does this look better? All opinions/tips welcome...tomorrow I'll post it on OPS and hopefully get some feedback/help with pp there just wanted to throw this out tonight before I headed to bed! First is quick 5 second edit I did this afternoon, 2nd is after 2 hours of messing around in photoshop :banghead: maybe red wasn't a good idea..

let it snow ...

well we had a few tiny snow flakes last night, which kicked my butt into the holiday gear! VERY quick shoot outside with C, it was freezing and windy..we'll have to try again later in the week when E is awake too but here is my first attempt.

quilt...

Yesterday was rainy and COLD so I decided to pull out my quilting stuff and started cutting! This is going to be for my best friend's new little baby girl, instead of soft colors I decided she needed something for tummy time that would hold her interest...well that and I've been wanting to use this fabric since I bought it! I got two blocks sewn last night and 8 cut and ready to sew, hopefully I'll have it finished (well the top at least) before I head home so I can quilt it on Mama C's fancy machine!

but C made a picture of what we're having for dinner! AND.....wrote the word all by herself!!!!!! YAY!!! I'm so proud of my baby..no..not baby..big girl (i'm going to go cry now, when did that happen!!!!)
